-
1 measured dash of extra virgin olive oil
Procedure
1️⃣ Preparing the chickpeas
Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under running water.
Dry them thoroughly with kitchen paper: this step is essential for achieving a crispy texture when cooking.
2️⃣ Dressing
Transfer the chickpeas to a bowl.
Add a measured dash of extra virgin olive oil, paprika and a pinch of salt.
Stir until the dressing is evenly distributed.
3️⃣ Baking in the oven
Spread the chickpeas out on a baking tray lined with baking paper, making sure they don’t overlap.
Bake at 180–200°C (adjust according to your oven) for about 25–30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
They’ll be ready when they’ve turned a slightly darker colour and feel crisp to the touch.
Leave to cool before eating: it becomes crispier at room temperature.
🔄 Alternative: Air fryer
Bake at 180°C for about 15–20 minutes, shaking the baking tray every 5 minutes.
