An invitation to wine enthusiasts, the curious and wine experts for every Thursday in August from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. to visit the production sites of Fontanarosa wines, the winery, the barrique cellar and the sales point with light refreshments and a tasting of the main wines to toast together.
We are in our twentieth year of activity,' they tell us at the winery, 'so we are very young in the Metapontino area and have as production the Great classics of Basilicata. Our wines are available in our two points of sale, a Policoro in Borgo Casalini via Napoli and Scanzano right in our operational headquarters in Viale degli Artigiani. Soon they will also be available on the online shop by typigo.com
We are getting more and more attention for quality wines from our region. We have a small production, a few hectares that are very controlled 'grain by grain'. We try to obtain the highest quality taking care of everything down to the smallest detail to offer the consumer just the 'best sip' of Basilicata.
In this summer 2021 The sparkling wine was much appreciated, very 'drinkable' and fruity to drink chilled, it goes well with any type of dish. At the same time, however, our barrique reds also found particular appreciation as they are classics of Basilicata such as Primitivo and Aglianico, particularly appreciated by tourists who can take home a special souvenir.
