The Etneb project - available at www.etneb.it - funded by the Ministry of Tourism and organised by the Regional Department of Tourism, proved to be a significant success. Councillor Elvira Amata emphasised the fundamental role of the active involvement of the territories, which enthusiastically welcomed the initiative. During the talk 'Food and wine tourism: suggestions and travel experiences', held at the Salone del Gusto in the Gallego Castle in Sant'Agata di Militello, Amata outlined the plan to expand the project to other areas of the region, aiming for a more comprehensive tourist offer.

Amata called for continued collaboration to develop new experience packages and said that the project is evolving. To this end, a platform is being created that will collect all the achievements of the previous weeks. He highlighted the authenticity of Sicily as a key value, emphasising the importance of synergy between different itineraries to create an integrated offer.

The councillor also emphasised the need to valorise local potential and retain young people in the area, stating that the policy must address the difficulties with determination. With 135 million euro available from the Fund for Development and Cohesion (FSC), there are opportunities to make Sicily more welcoming and competitive.

The talk saw active participation by various industry experts and local leaders, vividly examining the topic of food and wine tourism. Activities continued with the inauguration of the 'I Sapori dei Nebrodi' Expo, which included the participation of chef Valeria Raciti and various other gastronomic initiatives in the afternoon.

In summary, Etneb represents not only an initiative to promote Sicilian wine and food tourism but also a concrete example of territorial development through collaboration between different local realities and strategic resources.
