The review is conceived by Fausto Di Nella founder of Experiential Abruzzo and a professional who has been active for many years in the promotion of tourism in Abruzzo in the wine and walking sectors, and, as mentioned, was born with the desire not only to provide participants with unique experiences but also to 'make people talk', to communicate, two worlds such as Abruzzo's walks and wineries, which in the future could represent a great opportunity for regional tourism development: "Italian wine and food tourism is experiencing a period of constant growth and in parallel the world of walks is in a phase of great ferment along the entire peninsula with projects literally taken by storm by walkers during the summer season, studying and interpreting these trends already in 2017 we created in Abruzzo Vini e Cammini that in the past four editions has already made more than 2300 people walk and drink, giving a different and truly experiential key to our splendid territories. We have probably been pioneers, just think of the recent birth of thematic walks such as that of Bardolino on Lake Garda and that of Prosecco in Veneto". says Di Nella.
Since the first edition, the organisation has benefited from the technical support of the historic tour-operator Amoroso Viaggi of Lanciano that with the owner Maurizio Amoroso concludes: "This year's eight dates are practically fully booked with bookings from all over Italy and for the first year even many foreigners who have already decided to spend their summer holidays in Abruzzo. In addition, the festival actually includes a 'bonus date' with a weekend in the Langhe from 2 to 5 June that will see the same format repeated every day with routes and wineries immersed in Piedmont's Unesco heritage".
