A dish with origins certainly\u00a0<strong>ancient<\/strong>It warmed the cold winter days of hard peasant work. When nothing was thrown away and everything was reused, enhancing simple products and flavours of old. The main ingredient is precisely the\u00a0<strong>bread<\/strong>a table staple that could not be missed and that once stale was combined with other foods as in this typical dish of the\u00a0<strong>Mediterranean cuisine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes this dish was also the classic dish that was eaten under a tree during a\u00a0<strong>work break in the fields<\/strong>. It could be completed according to availability and seasonality by adding\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.typigo.com\/en\/cruskees-lo-snack-di-pep-crusc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>crumbled cruschi peppers<\/strong><\/a>. One can see how pancotto still today can present different variations according to subjective taste.
