Greek yoghurt, oat flakes and pomegranate

Delicious dessert for breakfast or snack

Here is a simple and tasty recipe for a healthy and nutritious dessert made with Greek yoghurt, oat flakes and pomegranate. Perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • Greek yoghurt: 125 g
  • Oat flakes2-3 tablespoons
  • Pomegranateat will
  • Cinnamonenough

Procedure

  1. Preparation of oat flakesUse a blender to grind the oat flakes to a fine consistency. Also add the cinnamon while blending, so that it blends in evenly.
  2. Preparing the pomegranate: Peel the pomegranate and retrieve the kernels, taking care to remove any white membranes.
  3. Dessert assembly:
    • Take a jar or glass.
    • Pour a couple of tablespoons of Greek yoghurt as the first layer.
    • Add a layer of chopped oat flakes.
    • Repeat with another layer of Greek yoghurt and complete with the remaining oat flakes.
    • Finish the dessert with a generous layer of pomegranate seeds on top.
  4. Service: Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for a while if you wish to prepare it in advance. This dessert is also tasty after a short rest, so that the flavours blend.

Tips

  • You can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup for an extra touch of sweetness.
  • If you want a creamier texture, you can mix the oat flakes with some yoghurt before assembling the dessert.
