Cooked wheat
The ancient baked wheat and pomegranate cake
Ingredients for 1 person
- Cooked wheat, 500 g
- Shelled walnut kernels;
- Pomegranate, 1 / 2;
- Cooked wine, just enough.
Procedure
The wheat grains are first soaked by changing the water frequently and then boiled in plenty of unsalted water.
Once cooked al dente, they are drained and cooled under cold running water; they are mixed together with chopped walnut kernels and pomegranate seeds.
Finally, to complete the preparation of this cake, the cooked wine is added little by little, continuing to stir until the mixture is homogenous. As for the cooked wine, one can choose according to personal taste either that obtained from grapes or from figs.
Variant: chopped dark chocolate, cinnamon, candied fruit.
